Research Experience:
Nirmalya Thakur is researcher in Human Computer Interaction at the Multimedia and Augmented Reality Lab in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at the University of Cincinnati. His research interests have explored the intersection of Human-Computer Interaction, Big Data, Data Science, 5G, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Internet of Things, Assistive Systems, Affective Computing and their applications in the context of solving real-world problems to improve the quality of life of users in a Smart Home with a specific focus on the elderly population. He has authored 18 publications in these interrelated fields since 2018. Nirmalya has presented his research in several reputed conferences across the globe including the 3rd International Conference on Human Interaction and Emerging Technologies (IHIET), the 8th International Conference on the Internet of Things (IoT), the 9th Annual Information Technology, Electronics and Mobile Communication Conference (IEMCON), the IEEE 5G World Forum Conference (IEEE 5GWF), the 8th Annual Computing and Communication Workshop and Conference (CCWC) and several others.
